The Associate Sales Representative, working directly under the supervision of the Denville District manager will be responsible for learning the core Denville product lines, value propositions and sales arguments.  Will meet directly with accounts and customers supporting the sales initiatives and furthering business in the district. They will enhance the Denville value proposition which is as a leading distributor of high quality branded scientific products which deliver value to our marketplace and delight our customers.

Specific responsibilities include:

*Representing Denville Scientific in their geographic district and enhance the overall value proposition in the marketplace for Denville.

*Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with purchasing, customers and suppliers to create a strong foundation for ongoing business relationships.  Consistently positioning Denville as the distributor of choice for both customers and suppliers.

*Supporting the business throughout the District engaging in sales, tabletop shows, account blitzes and other tactical activities as defined by the District manager.

*Learning sales process, creating & managing sales opportunities and reporting progress to the District Manager on a regular basis.

A successful candidate is someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit, takes initiative, accepts accountability and has a sense of urgency.  They are willing to be trained and coached extensively with the focus on their development and career trajectory.  An ideal candidate will have a natural drive to delight the customer through innovative thinking and exceptional execution, multi-task in a demanding environment and be competent to handle deadlines; must be flexible and able to handle a high volume of work.

Successful Associate’s will matriculate into the Denville Sales organization and be promoted to “Technical Sales Representative” anywhere from 9-18 months in the Associate role.  To be considered for promotion the Associate needs to be flexible geographically and accept the opportunity for a “Technical Sales Representative” role when and where it becomes available.



B.S. in Scientific Discipline is preferred but not required.

Retail or some other form of customer experience is a plus.

Position is based in either Chicago or Philadelphia.
