Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design of embedded systems for instrumentation
    • Software:  participate in architecture definition, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
    • Hardware: execute pcb design, schematics, component selection, simulation, layout, troubleshooting
  • System integration and troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Creation and/or Specification and implementation of test equipment and code

 Professional Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, MS preferred
  • 7+ years of experience related to listed duties and responsibilities

Technical Requirements:

  • Strong background in Analog, Digital, and embedded systems design
  • Embedded C programming (low level & GUI)
  • Familiarity with OrCAD (capture and layout) or PADS or Altium
  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing
  • Knowledge of USB, SPI, I2C, UART, Wireless, and high speed signals design
  • Knowledge of High Voltage High Power designs a plus
  • Familiarity with ARM Processors, motor drivers and/or FPGA a plus
  • Ability to work within an ISO9001 design environment
  • Broad knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, motors and motion control
